In 1954-1960, Georgy Mokeevich Markov wrote a continuation of the story of the family of peasants-Sibiryaks Strogov-the novel “Salt of the Earth”, where he traced the fate of the children and grandchildren of Matvey in detail, who had already changed their social status, who became scientists, employees, party workers-not so much “sowers” how many converters of post -war Siberia. It is quite in the spirit of the time in the novel that the image of a young rebel with the character of the “sixties” appears - graduate student Alexei Krayukhin. Roman was successfully filmed and deservedly gained audience sympathies
