The novel "Our General" is dedicated to the legendary fireman of the USSR and Russia, the hero of the Russian Federation, the hero-Black Hero-Major General of the Internal Service Vladimir Mikhailovich Mikhailovich Mikhailovich (June 8, 1947-May 22, 1994) Vladimir Maksimchuk is an extraordinary personality, a large specialist, an altruist and a firefighting fan, a high rank head, the initiator of the creation of an effective national security system and combat accidents, catastrophes and natural disasters, and the Russian emergency response service to emergency situations. Firefighters say this: "Maximchuk is our banner, our symbol!" Dozens and hundreds of large fires in the country, extinguished under the leadership of Vladimir Maksimchuk, speak for themselves. The personal qualities of Vladimir Mikhailovich and devotion to their business are textbook samples. The fire at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on the night of May 22 to 23, 1986 became the main fire that fell to his lot - it was in that situation that he clearly proved himself to be a specialist and as a person: the tactics of extinguishing fires on atomic facilities he proposed before had no analogues and had no analogues and Then it became the property of the world community of firefighters. His heroic actions saved people and the station, but cost his life. The fire was taken to the category of "secrets", the feat was silent for a long time, the very assignment of the title of Hero of Russia, General Maximchuk, almost ten years after his death, is a difficult story that highlighted many details, which became a litmus piece of paper for the subject: who needs heroes and the truth about them
