For fans "sagas about Forsytes", "Abbey Daunton" and "Chronicles of the Casaling Family".

The Jamen series, covering the period from 1854 to 1954, tells the story of the family of Whits, who lived in the estate in South Otario. The cycle’s novels were not written in sequential order. Each of them can be read as an independent story. "Jalna" is the name of a fictional estate in which the family of the Whits lives. The name of the cycle comes from Jalna, cities in Western and Central India, where there was a British garrison. In the Roman-Prikvel, the house was built by a retired officer of the British Army, who served in India. "Jall" is partially based on the "Benares", a house in the Mrsissogue (Canada) “Benares” was built in the late 1850s for the retired officer of the British army of James B. once he occupied a large estate in which Mazo de la Rosh lived for some time. "Benares" is an alternative name for Varanasi, a city in India, in which there was a British garrison.

In 1972, a television dramatic mini-series based on the novel Mazo de la Rosh was published in Canada. The series was popular not only in Canada, but also in the UK and France.

The writer admitted that the characters from the very beginning arose on their own. Their source is its imagination and family memories. Grandmother, Adeline Whiteok, refused to remain a secondary character, but, supported by her sons, went to the forefront.

Maso de la Rosh died in 1961. By that time, at least 12 million copies of books about the Whiteites family who loved readers around the world were sold.
