Before the end of the Great Patriotic War, the state security authorities became aware of the allegedly miraculously saved during the execution of the royal family of the daughter of Nicholas II Tatyana, who, under the name of the monki Taisiya, served in the female Greekatolic monastery of St. Basil the Great in Western Ukraine. This resurrection was immediately reported to the People"s Commissar of Internal Affairs of the USSR L.P. Beria. The novel on the basis of archival documents describes how, under his leadership, the testimony of Tatyana’s resurrected, as well as the life story of the royal family after the abdication of Nicholas II from the throne, was tested
