Mithridates

Mithridates VI Evpator is the last great king in Hellenistic Asia Minor. He fought with Rome for decades, at different times becoming a formidable opponent for Sulla, Lukulla and Gneya Pompey, but not this period of Mithridate’s life inspired the famous writer Vitaly Gladky. The reader’s attention is offered the background of epoch -making wars with Rome, and the narrative begins in 121 BC. Mithridates is not yet a commander and not even the king, but only the heir to the throne of the Pontic kingdom. As a teenager, Mithridates will have to survive the unexpected death of his father, the betrayal of his mother and fight not even for the throne, but for the right to walk on this earth, not to become a shadow in Aida.
