The newlyweds of Celestia and Roy are a real embodiment of the American dream. He is a young manager on the threshold of a brilliant career, she is a talented artist who gives hopes. But, not having time to experience all the little joys and sorrows of life together, the young couple is faced with trials, which were impossible to predict. Roy was arrested and sentenced to twelve years for a crime that he did not commit. Celestia, despite its strong and independent character, is devastated. She enters into a relationship with Andre, her childhood friend and Shafer at her wedding. She demands a divorce from her husband, realizing that she will not be able to love him as before. Suddenly, five years later, Roy’s sentence is canceled, and he returns to Atlanta, ready to resume relations with his wife.
