A feeling of constant danger, a premonition of death in the event of a failure - the scouts call this state of soul a cold. About the fate of one of these scouts, Theodore Neumann, who, in essence, became a triple agent, and is described in the novel by the famous Belarusian master of the vigorous prose of Anatoly Evgenievich Matvienko. An employee of the NKVD, introduced in Abwehr in the prewar years, learns that his parents were arrested in the USSR, teachers and former bosses were repressed.
