"Great Horde" is the new historical novel by Olga Ivanova. The Golden Horde of the late XIV - early XV centuries, in the east, known as Ulug Ulus (the Great Ulus), comes to life on the pages in the form of the main characters - Tokhtamysh, Timur, Idegey, Ulu -Muhammad and the events associated with them. The main characters of the novel are truly famous and great personalities, they became famous not only for the origin and loud titles, but also to their affairs. They turned out to be born in the days of grandiose shocks - the origin and decay of empires, cruel battles and the greatest discoveries. Their names intertwined in a bizarre scary fate, confusing and unusual, reborn from friendship into blood enmity, when state affairs fall on one bowl, personal relationships are on the other.
The author of the novel seeks to reveal to the reader not only the affairs of famous personalities, she shows them with ordinary people who fall in love and indulge in passions, dream and reflect on the mortal, substitute the shoulder to a loved one, hate and are afraid. They are subject to weaknesses and vices inherent in ordinary people, make mistakes and therefore do not look like static figures, but become close and understandable to the modern reader
