Nikolai Pavlovich Zadornov (1909-1992)-a famous Russian prose writer, Honored Worker of Culture of the Latvian SSR (1969) Its authorship belong to two large -scale cycles of works on the development of Siberia and the Far East by Russian pioneers in the 19th century. “Golden Rush” is a continuation of the famous novel “Amur-Batyushka”. At the end of the 19th century, rich gold placers were discovered on many cupid tribes. Directed by the need and circumstances, immigrants of whole villages went to the taiga to wash noble metal. Here and here, in the depths of the Amur forests, the fraternal republics of prospectors arose with their laws and rulers. Some of them even entered into an open confrontation with the tsarist administration. The life of one of these republics is shown in the novel
