The Polish writer Jozef Ignatsi Krashevsky (1812-1887) is known as a large, talented historical novelist, a forerunner of Polish realism. Throughout his life, Krashevsky led active journalistic and publishing. He began to be printed in 1830 and in his creative evolution has gone from romanticism to realism. He was distinguished by extraordinary fertility - the literary heritage is about 600 volumes of novels and stories, poetic and dramatic works, as well as works on history, ethnography, folklore, traveling out essays, journalistic and literary and critical articles. In this volume, the novel from the Seven Years War is represented, relating to the so -called "Saxon trilogy". In the center, his fate of Cavalier de Simonis, a hunter for happiness at the royal courtyards of the German Empire.
