The collection of works of the famous Far Eastern writer E.V. Gropyanov includes two historical stories about the events of the late 17th centuries of the 18th century, which took place in the northeastern outskirts of Russia.
The first of them - "Ataman (in Kamchatka)" - is presented in an updated author"s edition. The second - "step and fulfill", the story of Vitus Bering, is first published in the full form.
Stories about modern life included in the collection, either were not published earlier or published in a newspaper version.
The collection also contains a historical essay on the emergence and formation of regular book publishing in Kamchatka - a significantly expanded version of the previously published "notes of the provincial publisher".
For the first time, excerpts are published from the "Notebook of the writer", letters of E. Gripanov to other writers. The book also includes a brief biography of the writer.
