The epic novel Nikolai Azarov, the ex-prime minister of Ukraine, acting as a historical novelist, covers the period from 1910s to the mid-fifties of the twentieth century. The story is based on the fate of three faithful friends-officers: counterintelligence Robert Yarvi, drill commander Vasily Kudryashov and headquarters analyst Nikolai Olenev.
The author conducts heroes through different life trials, large -scale repressions, reconnaissance operations and conspiracies, fire milestones of war and the post -war rivalry of world powers. As a result, a whole era associated with the development of the Soviet state appears before the reader.
