"Cruiser" is one of the most famous historical novels by Valentin Pikul. The novel was written in just 38 days, but became a significant work for an outstanding Soviet writer. It tells about the courage and courage of Russian sailors who defended the Far Eastern borders of the Motherland of the Russian-Japanese war of 1904-1905.
In the center of the story is the fate of the young midshipman Sergey Panafidin. He served on the cruiser "Bogatyr", played cello in his free time and studied the Japanese language.
