The author of the novel "Crimsonte fog Mikhail Danilovich Kazachinsky, being a student, began service in the army since 1940 by a cadet of a tank school and rose to the colonel.

The book is based on genuine events reflected in the official documents of that time, materials from diaries and personal memories of the writer. The novel, covering the period from 1941 to 1945, was created on the basis of the dramatic destinies of real people of one with the author of the generation (only their names and surnames have been changed).
The book recreates the incredible feat of people, it is about love and death, about courage and suffering, about the dramatic fate of people who fell into the millstones of history.
