"Central Asia in the Middle Ages" is an unfinished novel by the artist, prose writer, poet, art critic, filmmaker Pavel Yakovlevich Zaltsman (1912-1985), conceived and written by him from trips to field surveys to Central Asia in the 1930s.
The first part and plan of the second part of the novel were first published in this edition, accompanied by the application of Elena Zaltsman and comments and the afterword of Tatyana Baskakova, as well as "Central Asian fairy tales" and "Central Asian Diary of 1934"
