Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy (1828-1910) - Russian writer and philosopher, author of the world known throughout the world (“War and Peace”, “Anna Karenina”, “Resurrection”) Born in Yasnaya Polyana in a rich aristocratic family. Together with his friend Chechens, he drove away far from the detachment accompanying the convoy, and almost was captured. The clock fortress Grozny saw the highlanders pursuing them, and raised the Cossacks on the alarm. The hero of the story, the officer Zhilin, is captured. He has a difficult relationship with the inhabitants of the aul, and only the kind girl Dina becomes his friend. Truthfully describing the details of the captivity of Zhilin, Tolstoy shows that war is evil, condemns interethnic discord and mutual hatred. For primary school age.
