The novel “Captain Nevelskaya” is a work about the first Russian expedition to Amur and Kamchatka, about the outstanding role of the famous Russian researcher G.I. Nevelsky in the opening and study of the Far East. The book tells about the complex, dramatic history of the settlement of the mouth of the mouth of the Amur, the beginning of the development of Primorye and Sakhalin. In the center of the novel is the image of the captain, later - Admiral G.I. Nevelsky, traveler and scientist, navy and diplomat, the patriot of Russia and the selfless defender of its interests
