The supreme priest deprived the conspirators of the ability to communicate with the gods, and without gods people are helpless. Wemak and his supporters with their families, servants, vassals and slaves are forced to escape from the capital to a flooded forest and seek happiness on a draw. Nevertheless, the fugitives were lucky - they manage to find a new God, as they ourselves. He, in exchange for sacrifices and worship, promises protection and patronage, so that now Tsarevich Wemak will be able to establish a new state and not particularly worry about the fact that God, who patronizes him, is dark. In the novel, the author reflected in detail the mythology and rites of the peoples of the pre -Columbian Mexico, and also personally visited the region where the events of this book are unfolding
