The remarkable Russian Frontovik writer Grigory Ilyich Miroshnichenko (1904-1985), a hereditary Cossack, considered the epic trilogy dedicated to the glorious defenders of the southern boundaries of the Fatherland in the distant XVII century. Unfortunately, the writer did not manage to finish his work, the third book remained unfinished.
The first novel of the trilogy - “Azov” - talks about the difficult relationship between Muscovy and the wild field, the freestyle of the Cossacks, as well as the heroic campaign in 1637 of the Don Cossacks to the main Turkish stronghold in the southern seaside steppes - the fortress of Azov
