It so happened that the whole conscious creative life of the great Russian painter Andrei Rublev took place during the times of cruel trials that shook the Grand Duchy of Moscow and all ancient Russia.
The icon painter was a witness and a participant in many events. They include enemy invasions: from the east - Ordyntsev, from the west - Lithuanians and Poles, as well as a long -term struggle for the grand -ducal throne between the sons of Dmitry Donskoy.
