The cheerful robber Robin Hood is the beloved hero of the English people. If you believe the legend, it lived in the second half of the XII century. His house was the Shervurd Forest, where freedom -loving Saxons took refuge. Just defeated by the Normans, they did not want to obey the brutal power of the conquerors. Together with them, Robin Hood fought with the rich, judges and monks and generously endowed the poor.
