Robespierre, whose name is firmly connected with the Great French Revolution, has always been and remains a habit. Having devoted all himself to the protection of the interests of the people, as a result, he turned into an executioner of this people. Starting his political career with the requirements of equal rights of citizens and the abolition of the death penalty, he completed it by dividing citizens into "virtuous" and "evil" and the introduction of mass terror. He was adored and hated, his life was turned into a legend: some into the "Golden", about the great fighter for the freedom and happiness of the people, others - in the “black”, about the dictator, eager for power literally on the heads of their associates.
