"A roadmap" is a stable combination of words that is understandable to many and answers the questions 'who?', 'what?', and 'when?', showing relationships, visually presenting a list of tasks, goals in the long term perspective. Today, questions about choosing a profession, career guidance work, getting acquainted with the world of professions, and opinion leaders in various fields are relevant both for libraries and educational institutions. The library, as an informal space, a space for communication, and personal development, occupies a special place in these processes. And career guidance work is included in plans, shaping the content of library programs and projects. The monograph is dedicated to the specifics of career guidance work with children and adolescents in the library. The monograph provides a theoretical justification of the peculiarities of career guidance work at each age stage, as well as presents training programs, career guidance games, and quests aimed at helping schoolchildren in choosing a profession. The programs are supplemented with an analysis of classic and contemporary educational, scientific, popular science, and artistic literature that can be used for lesson preparation, as well as recommended to teenagers and their parents for getting acquainted with the world of professions, the specifics of professional choice, and career building. This publication will be of interest to specialists engaged in practical career guidance work with children and adolescents in libraries and other cultural, educational, and enlightenment institutions.
