The book "Riddles and Solutions of Russian Literature" contains an analysis of anthology works by Russian writers of the 19th and 20th centuries. The author refers to his attempt to capture and manifest the spirit of Orthodoxy and the national character reflected in Russian culture as a metaphysical reading. Literature is considered as one of the ways to comprehend truth, specifically the worldly path. With this approach, numerous mysteries of our literature are revealed. The third component of the book (following Orthodoxy and literature) is the theme of revolution. Its understanding encompasses all the major problems of existence in Russia. This was the case in Russia's past, and in the future, there will inevitably be a choice between revolutionary and evolutionary paths of development. The analysis of the main works of Russian writers (both supporters and opponents of the revolution) shows that the theme of revolution inevitably refracts in a religious-mystical plane for them, and the revolution itself appears as a spiritually-moral phenomenon with an anti-Christian direction. "Riddles and Solutions of Russian Literature" is the second edition of the book, which was previously published under the title "Orthodoxy. Literature. Revolution." In its current version, it has been significantly revised and expanded. Additionally, the book includes literary essays and essays written in recent years.
