Describing Wagner, Chamberlain seeks to combine a brief biography, analysis of the main literary works and a general review of musical dramas. The extreme addiction of the composer painted by Chamberlain allows us to quite definitely see the greatness of the genius and those gloomy features of the ideology of Wagner and the “Wagnerites”, which have not allowed him and his successors to win in the struggle for the transformation of the theater public and all of humanity
