The new novel of the young Moscow writer is devoted to the last representative of the ancient royal kind of plantagenets in the English throne - Richard, the younger brother of King Eduard IV. Richard never hoped and was not prepared to become a king. He devotedly served as a royal elder brother, took part in numerous battles, along with him in the 1470-1471 fled to Holland. When Edward IV died, the party of influential magnates in the face of Lord Hastings and the Duke Bakingham offered Richard to become a regent with his juvenile consolidated brother Edward V. But soon it was proved that the boy was Bastard, and Richard was on the throne of England. However, the authorities did not bring the last planagenet not satisfaction, nor happiness
