The need to reprint the monograph "Rheumatology" from 2013 is due to high demand, as a result of which the entire print run of this book was sold out within one and a half years - in 2013-2014. The increased interest of doctors from various specialties, including orthopedic surgeons, in the problems and principles of rheumatology is caused by the growth of rheumatic diseases affecting the joints of the musculoskeletal system, as well as complex and extensive methods of rehabilitative treatment for patients with such pathologies. In this context, there is also a need to utilize the long-standing experience of the Rheumatology Institute in the rehabilitative treatment of patients with rheumatic diseases affecting the joints, as well as in the implementation of the State program for high-tech medical care in various regions of our country. We hope that the reprint of this monograph, which outlines the principles of rheumatology and presents the results of our collaborative work with rheumatologists from the Rheumatology Institute, will help address specific issues related to the extensive problem of comprehensive rehabilitative treatment for patients with rheumatic diseases.
