The monograph is dedicated to the issues of ensuring the safe handling of computer information and measures to combat crimes in the field of computer information. A comprehensive study of the compositions of crimes provided for in Chapter 28 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation has been conducted. Based on a detailed analysis of scientific works by Russian specialists dealing with the issues of crimes in the field of computer information handling, as well as judicial and investigative practice, the author has drawn conclusions about the existence of a number of current scientific and practical problems in this field. Suggestions have been formulated for amending certain provisions of the current legislation of the Russian Federation. The monograph can be used as a guide for teachers, graduate students, and students of legal universities, as well as for those interested in crimes in the field of computer information and the issues of combating them.
