The book considers private construction in Moscow and St. Petersburg of the 1730-1750s through the prism of the construction activity of one of the Velmozh of the Anninsky and Elizabethan times-S.F. Apraksina. The basis for the reconstruction of his architectural orders was the inventories of the house and estates, petitions to the police station office and the government synod. For the first time, complete texts of all quoted documents are published. A separate chapter is devoted to the work of the little -known architects S. Ukhtomsky and A. Roslavlev, their practice in the field of residential construction.
