The story tells of the adventures of the German soldier Heinrich Augsburg in the afterlife. Tormented by a sense of guilt, first for betraying the ideals he serves, and then for betraying his beloved, he perishes on the Eastern Front. After receiving a bullet to the forehead, Heinrich finds himself in Resurrection, a planet where our familiar world is reflected in a twisted mirror of decadence. Time flows backwards there, fiery seas rage in place of earthly continents, high technologies serve obscurantism, and each person embodies some form of impurity, depending on the nature of their actions in earthly life. By chance, the main character avoids immediate death at the hands of zombie marauders who encounter resurrected soldiers from all eras. Heinrich undergoes training on the dark side of the Moon, swears allegiance to the Lords of Infinity, and thus joins the ranks of the vampire knights. They are the elite of Resurrection. In this Dantean purgatory, descendants meet with ancestors, sometimes switching roles, hunters and prey, ordinary people and historical figures. There are no innocents here; Resurrection, like a cauldron, boils with wars and political conspiracies against the backdrop of the never-ending enmity between the Gods of Limbo and the Lords of Infinity. Moreover, a powerful cataclysm is approaching - the Great Cosmic Tide. The knot of duty, guilt, love, friendship, and betrayal tightens more and more...
