"Repliques 2020" is a collection of articles and interviews by Michel Houellebecq over three decades. The author of planetary bestsellers such as "The Elementary Particles," "Platform," "Submission," and "Serotonin" speaks here in the first person. In these deep, sharp, and sometimes caustic texts, he evaluates current events, formulates his conclusions, and makes predictions for the future. The book includes his philosophical and political essays, notes on cinema and literature, discussions about his own work, responses to critics' attacks, as well as reflections on writers and philosophers, religion, feminism, self-isolation, jazz, Donald Trump, euthanasia, and tourism. In France, Houellebecq's "Repliques" has been released three times as separate books (1998, 2011, 2020), each time supplemented with new appearances by the writer in the media. Articles from the first two were published in Russian in the collections "The World as a Supermarket" (2003) and "Humanity, Stage 2" (2011). This edition includes all three collections, presenting the views on the modern world of one of the most widely read French authors.
