It has long been said that the world lies in evil. We distance ourselves from ourselves, get into the dirt of the world, are amazed, but there is nothing to be surprised about: evil is evil. Abandoned, forsaken souls wither, dry up, covered in the scab of condemnation from the surroundings. Repentance is like the first cry of a newborn when appearing in the white light: he cried, and everyone rejoices - he is alive. The same goes for a person's soul: if it groans and cries out, then it is alive. It is just difficult to maintain repentant feelings within oneself, and the soul dies again, becoming stiff and dry, turned outward instead of inward.
