A classic training manual in which modern methods of remote sensing and processing of space shots are sequentially set out. The book contains a description of the film crews of the newest NASA Terra, Aqua and EO-1 satellites, as well as commercial satellites Ikonos and Quickbird. The book presents materials for atmospheric and FPM correction, spatial sensitivity of sensors, noise suppression methods and algorithms for combining hyperspectral images. Added more than 15 new exercises, 16 color illustrations and more than 40 drawings. A significant part of the book is devoted to discussing such topical topics as an analysis of hyperspectral data, methods for separating mixed pixels and the use of stereos for constructing a digital relief model. A detailed description of data processing algorithms and numerous examples of their use will allow readers to better understand the connection between the characteristics of the shooting systems and the information that can be obtained on the basis of space shots.
