The book presents unique materials from the archives of the Russian State Archive of Contemporary History, which include telegrams and letters sent to the leadership of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War, from both world leaders and significant public figures worldwide. Among the published documents are not only messages signed by well-known statesmen (Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Charles de Gaulle, Mao Zedong) but also from a wide range of people from all countries. Special attention is paid to congratulatory telegrams and other messages sent to the USSR on Victory Day. The documents are supplemented with photographs from the archives of the Russian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents.
