The proposed book for the first time in one hundred years since the work of the German sociologists of Max Weber and Werner Zombart returns to the fundamental understanding of the religious and spiritual roots of modern capitalism. The author subjures the critical analysis of the work of these sociologists, separates in their concepts "grain" from "Trevel", reveals new phenomena in capitalism, due to spiritual transformation of man and society in the XX-early XXI centuries. In the work, the principal thesis is put forward that today all the main world religions are experiencing the transformation process into a single world religion, which the author conventionally calls the "religion of money. Such a "diagnosis is extremely important in order for humanity to realize the deep reasons for the crises and cataclysms that have been imposed on it and consciously began to dissociate the money from the" religion of money. In the final part of the work in a compressed form outlines the Christian (Orthodox) alternative to capitalism
