In 2016, the 410 years have been 410 years since the reburial in the Novospassky monastery of the boyars, Mikhail and Vasily Nikitich Romanov. To this historical date for the monastery, the illustrated book “The Znamensky Church of the Novospassky Monastery was published as a memorial to the boyars of the Romanovs and their relatives, who suffered during the reign of Tsar Boris Godunov”. Its pages have stated the history of the monastery necropolis arranged in the temple in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Sign”, as well as the dramatic fate of representatives of the ancient family, faithful and truth served the Fatherland.
The temple of the signs of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which in the Novo-Spaska Monastery, occupies a special place in the annalistic history of our capital. The Temple of the Sacifier of Amazing Persons, the names of which these days sound little, but this does not diminish their significance in the history of the Russian state. This is the temple-monument to the courage and patience of the family of the boyars of the Romanov, whose life feat and example undoubtedly introduces us, now living, to the spiritual wealth of our homeland
