Saint Porfiry Kavsookalit (1906-1991) is one of the most revered old men in the Holy Mount Athos. Many parents turned to the elder for help, unable to cope with the disobedience, self -will and problems of their children. And always the experience in Christ and the wisdom of the holy elder made his advice not only to an invaluable spiritual treasure, but also by practical leadership in such a subtle and vital issue as raising children.
