August von Kramon (1861-1940) throughout almost the entire World War I was a German authorized by the Austro-Hungarian High Command of the army. While in this post, he directly participated in the organization of the interaction of the central powers, observed the adoption of the most important strategic decisions with his own eyes. In memoirs, he not only talks about the preparation of large joint operations, but also describes difficult inter-union relations in detail, gives vivid characteristics of the key figures of the Austro-Hungarian and German command, and represents its version of the causes of the successes and failures of the Austro-German bloc.
