This book is an attempt to consistently state the teachings of the Orthodox Church about passions, sin and the fight against them, as well as to show in what guise passions in the modern world act and how they control the behavior of man. The book is based on Orthodox psychology, it gives many examples, both from the life of our contemporaries with you, and from the life of Christian ascetics and saints. When working with the book, the experience of secular psychology was also used.
The purpose of the publication is to try to give the reader the initial ideas about Christian life, the ascetic teaching of the fathers and ascetics of the Church - the doctrine of the moral state of the personality, about the soul of man and the passions acting in it, about the true goals of human life, about holiness.
