The author of the proposed book, Metropolitan Nikolai (Mogilevsky, 1874-1955), is a brilliant intellectual and at the same time a man of holy life, ascetic and a prayer book. He was destined to go through camps, prisons and exiles. In 1945, he was appointed to the Alma-Ata and Kazakhstan department, which he ruled over the past ten years of his life. In 2000, the clergyman Nikolai was reckoned with the Church for the Holy of Saints.
