The book combines two stories about our contemporaries who have chosen a strange life among the world. When writing each story, a large documentary was attracted, so the fate of their heroines looms against the background of the era. In the novel under the canopy of olive, this is the post-war period and the period until the end of the 1980s, while the action of the story unfolds for the most part on the Holy Land, as well as in Kyiv, in Moscow, in Diveevo.
