The book belongs to the pen of a talented Russian emigrant journalist Ariadne Ivanovna Delianich, daughter of Admiral I.I. Stepanova. After the invasion of German troops in 1941, in Yugoslavia, she was the courier and liaison of the units of General Drazhi Mikhailovich, the head of the City Movement. At the end of 1944, she served as an officer in the connection of the Special Regiment of the Varangian. From 1945 to 1947, Delianich was in the concentration camp of the English military administration Wolfsberg. It was probably the most painful and mournful period in the life of Ariadne Ivanovna. In her book, she spoke about the ordeals who fell to the share of Russian anti-communists captured by the English Union Army
