The book introduces the reader to the culture and philosophy of Vaishnavism, as well as the extraordinary personality of Vishnu around which both arose. The narrative begins with the origin and formation of Vaishnavism until the middle of the second millennium. Particular attention is paid to the traditions of veneration of Vishnu and his divine environment, as well as the popular philosophy of modernity, Vishista-adate. The spirit of Vaishnavian culture is reflected in the poetic work of the Alvars, immersed in God. Translations of hymns from the Tamil language and Kirtanov from Teluga are excellent illustrations of their bhakti, or devoted love. A separate section is devoted to a review of the sacred places of pilgrimage and iconographic tradition.
The final destination of souls performed by Bhakti is Vaikuntha - the spiritual world without worries and anxieties - a kind of guide for which the narrative completes. The book is intended for a wide range of readers interested in the East
