The cathedrals of the saints who are glorified by the Church are countless - we know about them, we read about them in synaxary, we pray to them, we try to imitate them. But the host of saints who are unknown to us is just as numerous in the sky, but whose names are undoubtedly recorded in the book of life in gold letters.
The first two volumes - about the ascetics of the Ural Territory, injured during the years of persecution of the Church. They are not glorified in the face of saints (mainly due to the lack of some biographical information or documents), but their fate, their confessive, and often martyrdom worthy of attention and reverent memory. Archpastors, priests, deacons, monks, those whom the Bolsheviks called the "historical rot", actually turned out to be the gospel salt, which retained the Urals from spiritual decomposition.
The collection is also valuable from a scientific point of view: historians and local historians will find in it many information on the history of the Church in the Urals, its monasteries and temples. Many documents, memories, photographs are published for the first time.
The book is designed for the widespread readership.
In the third volume, the sermons of Archbishop Korniliya (Sobolev) and Archpriest German Simagin, preserved in their archival and investigative affairs, were first published. These sermons will not only add bright strokes to their portraits, but also give abundant food to the reader"s mind and heart. Simple in form, but deep in content, they touch the thinnest strings of the heart and reveal to the reader Christian life in all its diversity
