Rabbi Yitzhak Abarbanel (Abravanel, 1437-1508) is the largest Jewish thinker of his time, a prominent politician of a number of Pyrenees and a prolific author. The most important work of his life is an extensive commentary on the books of the Jewish Bible.
This volume opens a multi -volume edition of the Russian translation of the main work of Rabbi Yitskhak Abarbanel - a lengthy commentary on the Pentateuch, in which he sets out his philosophical, cosmogonic and theological ideas, based on the views of the Middle Ages, but experienced the significant influence of the Renaissance.
The first volume of the publication included the translation of the commentary of Abarbanel to the first three chapters of the biblical book Bereshit (Book of Genesis)
