The book of the famous historian of the church, the liturgist and archaeologist Nikolai Fomich Krasnoseltsev (1845-1898) presents materials and research according to the manuscripts of the Solovetsky monastery about some church services and rites, now not used in the practice of the Russian Orthodox Church. Such services and rituals include: rituals of entry into the flock of the new bishop, the rank of New Year, the action of the Last Court, washing the holy meal in the Great Fourth, the general oil reinforcement on the Great Fourth and on Saturday, prayers for the morning and evening and the rite of announcement on the great Friday , the rank of curtains of chernits, the rank and prayer for the pain, the rank of burial of priests and bishops and others.
