We present to the pious reader a well -known book of St. Theophanes of the Recluse "Thoughts for every day of the year according to church readings from the Word of God". It was first published on Athos in 1881, and since then she withstood many publications, not ceasing to cause the interest of the Orthodox reader. In "thoughts", the glorified Vyshensky recluse left us the fruit of his thoughts on daily readings from the Holy Scriptures, which the charter prescribes for every day of the year. Reasoning St. Theophanes are imbued with the spirit of true asceticism, they are developed on the basis of not only a deep study of patristic creations, but also personal experience.
