In the book, Doctor of Theology, candidate of philosophical sciences, Professor Archpriest Oleg Davydenkov, represents an attempt to reconstruct the theological system of the most prominent Orthodox Arabic (Melkit) thinker Theodore Abu Kurra, Bishop of Kharran († c. 830), in order to trace his theological thought of preceding Greek patric traditions. The publication first examines the conceptual and terminological system of Theodore in detail, the philosophical prerequisites of his theology are revealed. The main subject of the study is the Trinitarian teaching and Christology of Abu Kurra, special attention is paid to his Christological polemic. The teachings of Theodore Abu Kurra about the redeeming and his ecclesiology are also presented
