Blessed Augustine (Sanctus aurelius augustinus) (354–430) is a greater of the fathers of the ancient Church (doctores ecclesiae) of the Christian West, which had a huge impact on all the further development of Christian thought, ethical views and church structure. This book presents mainly the theological treatises of the Blessed Augustine: “On the Consent of the Evangelists” (in it Augustine gives an interpretation of the most controversial places from the New Testament, trying to prove that there were no disagreement between the Evangelists) and “On the Book of Genesis” ( dedicated to the literal interpretation of the first chapters of the book of Genesis) The main goal of this work was to show the continuity of the books of the Old and New Testaments. The application contains the early editions of individual chapters of this book, which allows, when compared with a later author"s edition, to trace the evolution of the views of Augustine Theologist. One of Augustine’s latest works “Enhiridion Lavrenty about faith, hope and love”, dedicated not only by philosophical and theological, but also ethical issues, opens the publication. The book uses translations of the Kyiv Theological Academy, made by professors of the Academy with great textual care and with excellent knowledge of the church-Bogosy realities of early Christianity.
