The manual in an accessible form sets out the basic rules for worship in accordance with the current charter of the Orthodox Church. The course of the Father"s Charter and Hyymnography is not aimed at teaching the practical performance of services, its purpose is to help students more consciously participate in public worship, to contribute to the perception of the liturgical tradition of Orthodoxy in general. Therefore, in the manual, special attention is paid to the clarification of the meaning of the sacrifices committed and the content of church chants, and the statutory rules are stated as briefly as possible. The textbook contains the schemes of services, the texts of the chants studied, the words on the holy Easter of St. Gregory the Theologian, fragments of the works of famous liturgists of the twentieth century and other materials necessary for the successful development of the course. As a source of initial, basic information about the liturgical charter, the manual can be useful to students of theological universities, listeners of theological courses, as well as all studying Orthodox worship on their own.
